What: Directly after this. Peter really screwed up and now he's hanging out in the medbay until he recovers. Later he hangs out in the hold. Wanda's around to feild all your questions about how stupid her twin is.

[Andrew's demeanor isn't all that different than normal. In fact he's surprisingly less cautious when he approaches Peter. He's used to talking to someone laid up in a hospital bed in far worse condition, someone he loved, so maybe that made talking to someone he sort of considers a friend (and not sure if that's returned because he's a self conscious loser) a whole lot easier.

He's not even sure if Peter wants to talk to anyone right now, and while his camera is on he's holding it at his side as if it were off. He just felt wrong not having it on but he realizes now is not the time.]

...Dude. What happened?

[He doesn’t keep pretending to sleep, but his gaze doesn’t fall on Andrew as he enters. It’s on the camera. He shifts awkwardly, rubbing a hand over his face.]

What’s that about?

[It’s not an accusation. He’s just confused. He’d seen Super 8 cameras, in the stores he’d robbed of TVs and other goods. But this was a far more sleek and modern looking contraption. He wasn’t entirely sure of its point. As far as he could tell, there weren’t any projectors around here to watch anything.

He considers it a few more moments before sighing, falling back to the question and the obvious reason Andrew had come by.]

Didn’t you hear? I tried to kill someone and it all screwed up.

It's just a camera.

[But that's...not really important right now.]

No, I mean like...why?

[He doesn't sound accusatory either, just curious. It's not like Andrew has never tried to kill anyone before. And to him, when he does it it's with good reason. Surely Peter had a good reason too?]

Dude, I'm from the 70s not the ice age. I'm wondering why you're filming this?

[Again, it doesn't sound like an accusation. He's just not sure what recording the conversation would do. He doesn't see why anyone would want to remember him laid up in a hospital bed.

The next question makes him pause, pulls him away from confusion to brooding. He sets his jaw, stares at Andrew a few moments before he answers.]

I thought he would hurt someone I couldn't let get hurt. So I was going to kill him before he got the chance. Simple as that.

Because it's just what I do? I just...record everything.

[Explaining why he does the camera thing is just really difficult, okay. But that aside, Peter's explanation - well, it makes sense to him. "Simple as that" may not fly with a lot of people considering the circumstances but to Andrew it truly is that simple.]

Oh. [There's a shrug as he looks down at his camera and fiddles with it, because he still hates eye contact.] I mean, if that's what you had to do then...it's what you had to do.
