[ She tilts her head a little, giving the monkey another little glance. ] No one has said anything to you about the Ingress or how it brought you here?

I've... heard a little. [He admits] But when I got here, the people were more interested in poking and prodding at me. [His eyes specifically, which gathered a lot of attention from his examiners.] Er, we're on a spaceship, they had to pick me up because otherwise I'd be stranded, I have a job, and I have this NID--

[He corrects himself and then continues rambling] MID, and.... we're in space?

[This is all topped with a sheepish smile, while the monkey is now attempting to skitter up her legs for a higher vantage point]

[ She extends an arm to allow the monkey to climb to her shoulder, smirking slightly. ]

You seem to have the basics down. I guess they're so careful in the medbay in case of infections.

Sonic....

[He gives an exasperated sigh, but doesn't bother trying to stop the monkey. Tex, on the other hand, has made a huge mistake. The monkey's going to crawl up her shoulder and paw at her head.]

[It looks like she's made a new friend!]

I got the sense I was more like a guinea pig.... [Due to his special eyes, and all.] But I can understand that. If an infection breaks out in a ship like this..... er, it'd get pretty messy.

It would spread like wildfire.

[ And that's likely the best-case scenario. Tex reaches up to pat at the monkey. ]

I assume the monkey got checked over too?

...Then we have to be careful. It wounds like it would be a disaster.

[Sonic graciously accepts the pats, but he seems to be acting as though he wants Tex to rub near his ears. Huh. What a cheeky little monkey]

Well, they tried-- he was a bit of a handful. But he's not sick, so don't worry.

[ She rubs the monkey's ears at its clear suggestion, then extends her arm toward the floor to see if it'll climb down. ]
