The explanation surprises Venom at first, but once he lets it sink in he appears to be all right with it. Shaking hands is about as touchy as the assassin gets, and even that is done out of politeness. If he can avoid it, he won't touch anyone. In turn, no one touches him.

But the slightly more pressing issue is the other claiming to be a "Vulcan". Is it an undiscovered race of humans, or something else entirely? Not to mention being able to intercept emotions. That's the last thing the assassin needs.
