Hmm. That seems to be the case with nearly everyone I've spoken with so far.

The hanar made first contact with my species not quite two hundred years ago; space travel has been a familiar concept to me since I was old enough to understand what it meant. Human beings, I believe, first achieved FTL capabilities about forty years ago. They're a fairly common sight in most places now.
