[ There are times, on a star ship, when one must move quickly and it is not uncommon for people to run through the halls in situations that call for haste. But those people generally move at average speeds, and they certainly don't snatch objects straight out of the hands of others.

So needless to say, Spock is rather surprised when someone zooms past him and snatches the tricorder. It flicks across his face for a moment, though when he whirls to face Pietro, his face is composed again, except for a raised eyebrow. ]


That is a tricorder; it is used to gather and analyze data. And the button you are touching will clear the display.

[ Which would not be beneficial, as Spock isn't finished reading those results and he lacks a central computer to connect the tricorder to and retrieve the information, but it's also not the end of the world - so far, his mind has been better at analyzing the situations he's encountered than any machine.

That elf, comment, however, requires correction. ]


I am not an Elf, I am a Vulcan. Common literature from Earth generally depicts elves as technologically primitive, and that is obviously a tool of technology.
