They wouldn't have survived this long if they weren't adaptable people, so really, it's not a huge surprise that they figure themselves out pretty quickly. Daryl pushes aside his misgivings about the strangers he's been assigned to room with-- they seem fine, it's just not knowing him that puts him on edge-- and does his best to settle in, to learn his way around, figure out what the hell he's supposed to be doing.
It's strange, though-- it's been a long while since they weren't all together in one place, so he tries to keep up with the rest of his group as best he can.
