[ Aware of the new presence on the bridge, as she's keeping an eye on the cameras around her as she works (and on areas that are less nearby), Cortana's image doesn't turn until she's directly spoken to. It's not as though she's the welcome wagon, her job isn't to greet every new face that walks through the doors. Not that this fact stops her from being perfectly pleasant, nor does it alter any of her interest in new arrivals. New people arriving through the Ingress is probably one of her favourite parts of this whole situation--it's endlessly fascinating to meet beings from all sorts of universes.

Turning to face Yori, Cortana smiles and nods. Her hologram is small, but perfectly detailed and very human in appearance aside from the translucence, the blue hue, and the lines of code that run up along her form. ]

That's me. You're Yori, correct?

[ Having run through the updated directory, it's easy to match the appearance and the job assignment to a name. It would have taken no time even if she hadn't collected all that new data the very moment it had been edited.

Aside from those three bits of info, however, everything else about Yori is unknown, and as it always does, that intrigues Cortana. She looks perfectly human, but the AI knows better than to let appearances tell her everything. Here especially, appearances can be incredibly deceiving. ]

I'd be happy to help. It's hard for me to be too busy.

[ There's some amusement in her voice, a joke that's practically private given that most here aren't familiar with AI capabilities from her universe, such as the way they can multitask like masters. ]

Do you have any experience with navigation? A history with spaceships is, of course, the most useful, but we can work with just about any prior skills here. Or lack thereof, as the case may be!
