Disconcerting as the announcement following his arrival was, sudden change of leadership rarely providing calm in any capacity to the affected, Spock took to acquainting himself with his new vessel over dawdling on possibility. There was little sense speculating what he did not yet fully understand, and exploring, even just to busy himself at a time like this, was fair reprieve from the concern that was not so easily assuaged. At the least, he could acquire better resources with the task, and the situation could be better analyzed through his findings at a later time.
He made his way through the entirety of the ship, from the stern through the levels and rooms available to him on toward the bow. It was a scattered journey, access not always so clearly defined, but Spock gave his best effort to chart his personal discoveries as accurately as he could. In preparation for his formal duties aboard the Moira, he also documented his encounters for further interpersonal analysis.
