There's nothing for her to feel bad about, as far as he's concerned. He doesn't blame her for her reaction in the least, and he won't complain about having to explain it, explain himself time and again. He understands where they're coming from - all of them, all of the people who've asked him about what happened on that planet.
It's not like he can run and hide here, like he did back in his world. So this seems like the least he can do, simply facing what he's done and owning up to it. If people want to know details, he'll share as much as he can. But why? That, he has no answer to.
