[ Tony shows up on time, which is novel enough on its own, particularly when he has a room full of disassembled armor that he's elbow-deep in at almost all times. (It's a good thing the MID is permanently strapped to his wrist, for that matter, or he probably wouldn't have even seen the message until it was far too late.) But he's making a special exception in this case.

Giving Bruce a hard time is deeply important to him. Also: it's Trish Walker.

He offers her a courteous hand when he approaches, business-like. ]

Well now, if it isn't the legendary Trish Walker. Quite the pleasure.

You know, I'm pretty sure I tried to get you on my show at least once so I'm blaming you for the pleasure being belated.

[ If they didn't try to get him on the show it was a serious oversight because he would have been a fantastic interview subject.

She takes his hand and shakes it, feeling distinctly weirded out by the fact that well... he isn't exactly a new arrival, is he? ]

Did Bruce tell you that you've... sort of been here before?

[ Or does he remember? ]

[ It's probably because, some short period of time after returning from Afghanistan, he started having JARVIS auto-trash all such solicitations. Not that he's about to tell her that, but he has the grace to make a chagrined WELP face. What can ya do? ]

Yeah, I've heard from a couple ... dozen ... people. Trust me, plenty of confusion for everyone involved.

But no, I don't remember anything about that. Different-me, probably. [ Hopefully the guy had his shit together more than Tony currently does, but he sorta doubts that. Then, with quite a bit of irony: ] Hi, I'm Tony Stark.

Nice to meet you, Tony Stark.

[ Her tone matches his pretty damn well in the irony department. ]

Did you boys have the timeline talk?

[ She doesn't want to be the cause of accidental spoilers here. ]

And then some.

[ Said with at least a little distaste. He's getting real tired of multiverse shenanigans, of finding things out secondhand, of the disappointment in people's eyes when they look at him and he has no clue who they are. ]

Enough times to know I'm a couple years behind all you fine folks, or at least that's been the case so far.

[ He's gotten to the point of assuming anyone from home is at least a couple years ahead of him, until proven otherwise. ]

Well alright then, in that case let's not talk about any of that.

[ She knows emotional fatigue when she sees it, okay. She's in the entertainment business, she's something of an expert. ]

[ He rewards that statement with a megawatt smile. ]

You and I? Are gonna get along just fine.

[ He offers her his arm, all gentleman-like, and gestures to the entrance to the bar with the other. ]

Shall we?

[ Good thing she is used to smiles of that caliber because damn, that one packs a punch Mr. Stark!

She offers him a sparkling grin of her own and takes the offered arm. ]

We absolutely shall.

[ She pulls him along into the bar, giving the interior an appreciative look. ]

You have good taste.

I thought you might think so. I'm actually a little surprised I never bumped into you at this kind of place back home.

[ Truth be told, there's probably some overlap to their social circles - or, well, the circles that one maintains when they're in the celebrity limelight, even if it doesn't particularly consist of anyone well-loved or trusted. Social outings of this caliber are a necessary evil back home. ]

We've been like ships in the night, passing each other by. Truly we are star-crossed.

[ All for the best, really. They may have ended up tumbling into some unfortunate bed or other together and that would just make things really awkward now. ]

No kidding. Good thing an inter-dimensional magic portal to another universe made sure we're getting the cocktails we were destined to never have together.

The list of things that are good about being kidnapped to another dimension is short, but surprisingly powerful.

[ Her sister, her boyfriend, and drinks with Tony Stark, what more could a woman ask for? ]

Including romance, apparently.

[ He opens his arms, as if to say "why're you keeping me waiting?" ]

So, I wanna hear about that story. C'mon. It's the most interesting part.

Bruce hasn't told you?

[ No, she's not surprised about that, she's just stalling to be a tease. ]

He's been amazingly tight-lipped, in fact. Can you believe it? You think you know a guy.

[ He leans in, all conspiratorial-like. ]

Something tells me your version of events will be more entertaining anyway.
