[The gunshot was enough to ping Sans' attention, for all his focus remained on the little girl. It's enough to make Peter's tone not entirely a surprise, instead allowing the seed of something wrong he felt at the back of his skull take root.

He meets Peter's eye, nodding once, before turning back to the little girl.]

Slovenly. Sir Skeleton the Slovenly. [He offers, shooting her a wink.] We're just gonna be a minute, your highness. While you're up there, try to find me some sorta armor? Knight's gotta have armor, right?

[She seems unsure, but nods all the same, gaze switching back and forth between Peter and Sans before slowly climbing the stairs. Once the door clicks shut, Sans turns to Peter.]
