This Is My Own Will [Closed]
Who: Kaworu Nagisa and... uh, I forgot if it's Eggsy or Scott actually oops
When: April 26
Where: Re-entry from the Del Pascia
What: Kaworu had a little tête-à-tête with D-E-L. Now he's going to try and talk to a human.
Warnings: Karl.
Kaworu appreciated the time spent in decontamination as an added chance to collect his thoughts.
He really had no idea what the humans were going to do to D-E-L.
Maybe they would destroy it...
Well, that was fine.
It wasn't really his problem.
His problem... was the humans he lived with now, and the problem of what they represented.
His own unhappiness.
Was he unhappy because of them? Was it really true--that true happiness existed only in the happiness of others?
Or was it simply that their kind and his could never coexist?
Was his feeling... the feeling he continued to experience... was that the Lilim's curse? Had it been passed down to him?
Or was it only the result of--
Oh. He should retrieve his uniform before he walks out of the decontamination, right?
Wearing clothes in public is one of those rules he's not allowed to break. Not that it matters now, perhaps. But it doesn't hurt.

He's the only one in the cargo bay right now. There's only one person on the transporter, so only one crew member there waiting. He shakes out the blanket and lifts it high in the air towards the door, shielding his eyes.
"Hey, there's some clothes down there if you don't have any."
He wiggles the blanket, causing the fabric to billow, letting them know he's back there.
"I'm Scott and I'm your personal privacy shield for the evening."
no subject
He blinks once.
"Oh. Thank you."
...he thinks.
Wait.
"Or is this your job? You don't have to do those, you know."
no subject
Scott steps forward and lowers the blanket slowly until he sees a head. Smiling, he drapes it over their shoulders, making sure to wrap them up well with it.
"There."
He moves back again, folding his arms over his chest.
"What's your name?"
no subject
He's not looking for anything in particular; just studying the other man's facial expression before he says anything else.
"Kaworu. Kaworu Nagisa." He doesn't know what use surnames are on a ship where half the occupants don't have one, but it's only polite to give it.
"But that's very kind of you." Humans helping other humans. By helping others, humans made themselves essential to each other, became closer to each other, ensured they could not be discarded or forgotten. A way to make sure they were wanted. It was kind of selfish, wasn't it?
Well, that was okay too. Happiness was a precious thing. They had to work hard to secure it for themselves.
"Nice to meet you. It's good to feel useful, isn't it?"
no subject
Scott kind of thinks it's cute, the way he's all bundled up, and also, super practical, because now Kaworu won't have to worry about anyone seeing stuff he doesn't want seen.
"Yeah, it sure is. Makes a person feel all warm and bubbly inside."
Honestly, Scott likes helping other people. Both because it makes him feel good and because it means that someone else is a little better off for it.
"So where you headed? I'll walk you there."
no subject
Something about him seems to make humans feel challenged or defensive. So his smile back is quite genuine.
But honestly, Kaworu hadn't actually planned where he was going once he was back on the Moira. On some level, it didn't really matter, did it? The overall meaning was the same. He'd just sort of expected he'd walk enough and eventually something would happen that he could work with. Something he could 'participate' in.
Which... did in fact come true.
Maybe this wasn't so hard.
Maybe.
"I stay on Moro deck. So I suppose I'm going there. I'd be very happy to have your company on the way."
He's not even a little embarrassed about the idea of walking around the Moira barefoot in a blanket and nothing else.
no subject
"I'm on Mero, but I know the way. They're pretty much all there in the same part of the ship."
And if Kaworu isn't embarrassed to be essentially naked, then Scott isn't either.
"We'll walk and talk, get to know each other better.
Turning away then, he straightens out his uniform and leads the way out to the hall.
"Did you luck out and get good roommates?"
no subject
"I don't mind them, though. It's very interesting, living with another person... you learn a lot about yourself that way, don't you? It's a good experience."
Of them, Jasper doesn't sleep and so doesn't spend much time in their room, but Kaworu is at least as guilty of that kind of behaviour as she is. He does wish she would let him play with her miniature cats, though. The other two are fine, though he's found that if he leaves them to their business, they don't interfere with his--in fact, they seem to prefer he do exactly that, which is disappointing.
But he has learned from it.
Just... not what he'd wanted to.

He doesn't mind his roommates, both of them are the quiet, stick to themselves types, but they seem like good people, which is all that matters to him.
"It's like every bad habit that you have and they have gets put out on display. You really find out if someone is a true friend that way."
His cellmate, and best friend, Louis had quirks, but so did he, which is why they worked so well together.
"What did you learn about yourself from it?"
Happy Hour ate me, but I've survived!
Interesting.
Kaworu had never considered it in that light.
"That I have much more to learn about people." It's an honest reply, at least. But Scott's answer has caught his interest and his imagination, such as it is.
"A true friend... someone who accepts you, regardless of your habits. Good and bad." A pause. Then, in the same vein, with very little actual question to it: "Someone who has the power to hurt you, but does not?"
That would be something truly precious.
"I wonder how that would feel... to have a true friend."
