Hearing him take the lead and shout out a command, she moved into action as told. She knew that she needed to get someplace she could catch her breath, even if they couldn't stop moving for long. So she used the fallen bodies as a launch pad, stepping on them and leaping so she could reach the door faster. Her hand grabs at the door handle, missing the first time, but grabbing hold of it the second, and she flung the door open before slipping inside.
It's instantly quieter in this corridor and she sighs in relief, and waits for him up against the wall. Her head leaned back against it and she shut her eyes, taking in the feel of her heart racing. In some weird way, she had missed this. Even being here a couple of weeks had her feeling out of practice, and this sort of thing was more or less what her day to day routine back home consisted of.
When he made his way into the hallway with her, she promptly moved to shut the door, careful not to slam it. There wasn't any point in drawing more attention to them. "Can we sit for a minute? It's quiet, I think we'll be safe."
it's okay! we're all in this together
