Arriving at the Del Pascia’s docks to see the decon procedures had changed so drastically made Nihlus flatten his mandibles against his jaw.
There'd been no signs of dangerous airborne or settled contaminants when he'd scanned the place before starting scavenging operations. Which didn't mean it wasn't possible there hadn’t been contaminants, the Spectre-grade sensory suit that his omni-tool came equipped with was still more limited than a full lab.
But why hadn’t the contaminants been detected sooner?
He’s potentially been exposed for a week and half now, working on bringing scrap back to the Moira. There’s a long list of things that’d need to be double checked for contamination once he was back onboard.
Nihlus takes a long few seconds to just… stand there, looking generally displeased about the current state of affairs. It’s a longer while still before he finally moves to start unlocking the clasps on his armor.
It’s been a stressful month and they’re barely even halfway through it.

He doesn’t come back to Del Pascia until the emergency call goes out.
The heat warning was beginning to flash in the corner of his HUD, but he’s already emerging from the room, trailing smoke and sizzling gore. There were still moving forms in the flames when he turns around to wrench the door shut. Charred hands reach towards him, burning faces gurgling and gasping sounds that should have been promises but their voice boxes were eaten away by the searingly hot air.
A deafening CLANG of metal on metal cuts them off and Nihlus stares at the handle for moment before welding it shut.
This was turning out to be a very stressful month, but at least everything was on fire now.
