Elizabeth is already on her way to open her mouth an insist that Ivan is important to her in a friendly sort of way, but he beats her out to... not deny it. For a moment, Elizabeth looks stunned, but sits quietly with her hands in her lap and feeling the implication of Ivan not correcting Alys. Maybe because she clearly has him under her thumb, which seems to be the theme of this conversation but maybe it's something else...?
