The journey is exhausting-- little sleep and a lot of physical effort, to say nothing of the psychological strain. The sight of recently-used campsites helps bolster everyone's spirits, but it also sends a wave of uncertainty through Lena. Who were these other people? And why were they exploring? Is there a possibility that they're searching for supplies as well? There's no way of knowing, not yet.
