Cayde-6 | OTA

For the record? Cayde hadn't trusted a thing the Savrii had said. They were already clearly hiding things from them, whether out of simple neglect or on purpose, and he hadn't been particularly impressed by their inability to repair the Ingress. And then there were the things he'd heard from 76, which only further convinced the Exo that he was completely justified in his distrust.

Yet somehow it seemed everyone was going. To a peaceful world, eh? There's no such thing, in Cayde's mind. That alone has made him suspicious. He's pretty sure he's not the only one paranoid about the whole venture, but he's also not sure just how many people the Savrii are sending out. Just how many people have been drawn through the Ingress? And how many of those are equipped for dealing with any trouble? ...dangit he better not end up playing babysitter. It'd be like Tower duty all over again.

Arrival

"Where the hell are we?! Peaceful and abundant my shiny little backside!"

The first words coming out of the Exo's mouth hardly seem to underline the exact distress of their situation. His tone however drips with all the distrust that he's held in the Savrii's words. Blue optics scan the bleak horizon, what can be made out of it for how dark and...dead everything appears. It made Europa looked like a vacation resort.

"Cayde, those structures...." The red and gray Ghost looks around, its blue lens about the only brightest thing aside from Cayde's own eyes in contrast to the dark landscape surrounding them. "They look familiar- Could it be..? But there are so many...!"

"So many what?" The Exo glances at his Ghost.

     "...Ingresses...."

If he could frown, Cayde would, but somehow he seems to convey the idea with what bits move around his optics alone. "I got a bad feeling about this."

Moving On

The Ghost had picked up a faint energy reading. Of course it had to be nowhere near where they've all been left stranded, and Cayde's got no qualms about going to check things out. That's part of the job description anyway, and in a place where there's absolutely nothing else around and the skies look near ready to tear apart whatever might be caught beneath it? Yeah. He's moving.

As a Hunter he's used to working alone. Scoping out things ahead. Heck, just keeping moving. His favorite gun's in hand, a Guardian in his element. His Ghost is unseen, merged with the Hunter to give directions and warnings internally. Less to worry about, especially if the storms build up any time soon. He really doesn't like the look of those skies.

Maybe you catch up with him. Maybe he catches up with you. Either way, Cayde won't be adverse to the company, and if you look like you're struggling, he might just end up conveniently hanging around within your vicinity. You know. Just in case.

Hunger isn't something he usually needs to worry about, his Exo body resilient in such aspects, but there's something else that drags at him, and he can feel it gnawing away the longer they carry on. The Ghost has sensed it too, his concern voiced but unheard by anyone save for Cayde. "...we keep moving. We're still heading in the right direction, right?"

Where the Wild Things Are

It's both a relief and not, seeing that there are some manner of lifeforms in this bleak place. And after periods of nothingness interspersed with dodging storms, Cayde's all too happy for some stress relief. Okay, he just wants to shoot something. He might just be imagining Savrii as he opens fire with his handcannon, his Ace of Spades flaring with each shot. Some of these things look way too close to Thrall. Although that suits him just fine. Just more incentive to blow their ugly faces away. Not that he needs the incentive.
