Roland could relate to being stuck in his own head in the least of that which Ardyn spoke of. For as little imagination as he had, Roland had the ability to overthink nearly everything if given enough time. He had always been better at making split decisions which nearly always turned out for the better. He sipped his coffee and closed his eyes a brief moment as he appreciated the hot, bitter brew.

"You keep the cat to... challenge yourself? Do I understand your words well, sai?" Roland opened his eyes to look at the man curiously. As a Gunslinger he could understand challenging oneself but as an individual it seemed a piss poor reason to keep a cat around.
