Hopefully not at all, honestly. He's a little bit tired of being in dire situations. The way his life goes, he assumes that before long something here will be dire, but until that happens, he's sort of really okay with pretending that everything is fine. There's no heavy burden of being responsible for the lives of Thedas to weigh him down. (Granted, he would've liked to have been the one to take down Corypheus once and for all, and that still burns a little that he wasn't—he's going to hold onto that responsibility for a lifetime. But, he'd had important things to do. Warden-y things. Much to Carver's chagrin. That was a little fun, truth be known.)
Here he can ignore things he doesn't want to think about. Or, at least, doesn't want to think about while he's with Fenris. Thoughts that drag down his spirits are better left for when he's alone. So, he can cast the heaviness aside and enjoy things for what they are.
Though he might just be walking right into trouble. He hears that light lilt in Fenris' tone and knows he's likely headed for trouble. Ah, yes, and there it is. Hawke chokes on his own breath and coughs immediately after. ]
I'm offended by the very insinuation—!
[ He's really not. If only because it's completely true. But, in his own defense, Hawke flirted with everyone back then! At least, until he knew there was a chance for something with Fenris. ...Though didn't quite stop. It's ingrained so deeply in his personality!
Whatever. He's not on trial here! ]
It made him so annoyed, though. It was all in good fun.
