He wants to help, he sincerely does, but he also doesn't want to risk losing control again, or even under a controlled transformation accidentally hurting someone, when the purpose is to leave while causing as little injury as possible.
So, he does the second best thing he can to help: tend to those who get back on board in whatever way they need. That might just involve telling them where to go sometimes, but for the most part, he just sticks around the medbay, ready to tend to whatever injuries people might have.
He still keeps an ear out, though, getting in touch with Steve every so often, just in case. He will avoid it to the last, but if there's a Code Green, then he'll make his way down to the planet if he must. ]
REFUGEES.
[ It feels almost strange to try and cheer these people up after what they've been through, but if Bruce is to be honest, it's actually kind of nice. The spirits are a little higher now, even if still tired for the most part, and Bruce gladly helps out with getting everyone as comfortable as possible, finding them blankets and helping serve food to all the refugees in the mess hall.
As for distraction, while his initial idea would be some science experiments, he opts for something easier and simpler, and hopefully just as distracting. Later in the evening, he's sitting on one of the chairs, reading from a story book while a small group of the refugees are sitting or lying down on their makeshift beds nearby, listening to some fantastic tale about dragons, knights or magical marionettes who want to become real boys. ]
