Ardyn did look out of place here. Nyx wondered if he looked the same to other people. He knew he felt it, he felt the truth of Ardyn's words. They had a truce between them but it still didn't make agreeing with him any easier. Nyx was having a hard time shaking the thought evil Empire when he looked at the other man.
And yet... something about the way he stood there holding his hat, made Nyx feel something. He wasn't sure what the feeling was, but it was something like... empathy maybe. He gave a slight sigh and rested both hands on the counter, the pie between them, as he stared through the window in the wall which separated lobby from kitchen.
"Misplacement. That's a good word for it. Yeah." After a moment he stood straight again and grabbed a clean towel to wipe his hands with instead. "Have a seat. You a tea kind of guy, or coffee kind of guy?"
