Who: Adam Parrish, OTA
When: Throughout April
Where: Auto shop/garage R2
What: Catch all for April
Warnings: none at the moment, keep an eye on subject lines
[During the first half of April, Adam's not at the garage as much as he is usually. If you're looking to find him specifically you'll have to catch him in the couple hours before sunrise and a couple hours after sunset monday through friday. He's busy building something on the St. Monmouth property and that's been taking most of his time. He still works at the shop, though, his hands often more abused and his expression more tired than even is normal after 12-15 hours of manual labor throughout the day and then adding on.
Does Adam Parrish sleep, ever? Not really.
If you're coming in the second half of April, he's back to his normal hours, though they're admittedly cut back a bit. He doesn't work 6 days a week anymore and tends toward 3-4 and instead of long hours he's more apt to working from late morning to late afternoon unless there's a specific request and project that he's determined to finish on any given day.
He can also be found periodically near the shop at the small restaurants around during lunch times more often than not.]

[ It's stupid o'clock in the morning, before sunrise. Hey, he did say she could drop by.
Archer isn't quite inside the auto shop yet; she's standing near the door with the motorcycle next to her, wondering if he guy was actually serious about it and she's not going to run into some other person. Not that she would mind terribly, but considering she already talked with someone there...
She doesn't think he's the kind that would just lie anyway. The boy looks too tense for that. ]
You there? I pushed this thing like five miles to get here...
no subject
He glances up when he hears his name though and finishes up what he's in the middle of. ]
If I'd known you had to do that I could've picked it up.
no subject
[ Archer shrugs as she moves some of her hair that has fallen in front of her face to the side. The moto itself isn't ridiculously heavy, but Archer isn't precisely buff either and it's been quite a walk. ]
Well, here it is. Kinda blocky, but it suits me fine.
no subject
You wanting anything done to it aside from getting it running?
no subject
Well, whatever fine tuning you think adequate? Actually you can go to town with it, the money isn't an issue. And if you're not about money I have other stuff that can be of interest.
no subject
He shifts bring the bike around to an empty station. ]
You don't gotta stay around I can text you when I'm done.
no subject
[ She goes to lean against a wall. ]
Besides, I want to learn how to fix this thing if, God forbid, something happens. I promise I won't touch anything?
no subject
Though, not a lot of time passed before without looking up or pausing he asks: ]
What kind of other things did you have to offer?
[ Maybe there is a thing or two he could use but he's not sure if it's something anyone could help him with other than Ronan or perhaps Kavinsky. ]
no subject
It's a good thing he speaks then, since the silence was starting to turn uncomfortable. ]
Oh, well... I have what you might call powers. Of some sort. I can control the elements, so to speak. And I have a nice trick where I can create water that can basically heal everything, ever.
[ As in cue, Archer waves a hand, creating a ball of water from the air. The water then starts shining. ]
Some traders are willing to barter for it.
no subject
Would it help someone caught in between life and death?
[ The question is nonchalant enough but the curiousity is real, the hope lingering in the back of his mind even though it doesn't seem like it could practically have any potential and he knows better. ]
no subject
[ Archer waves her hand and the water dissipates. ]
If you need it, I'll give it to you, free of charge. I'm trading as little as I can, just enough to make by. Thing is, it would probably be bad for me if word goes around. It's the kind of power that might attract the wrong type of attention.
no subject
You should tell Gansey about that.
[ That's all the information he really offers. ]
He'll be discreet. We'll call you and me even. [ Even though she offered it free of charge. He's not one to take something for free. Once you did you gave someone power over you. He's already powerless enough. ]
no subject
Oh, the guy that looks like everyone's School President?
[ With the weird shoes? ]
Where can I f- oh don't tell me. At the farm. You all live together. [ She's starting to see the bigger picture. ]
no subject
Yeah. I don't think he ever leaves. [ Adam shrugs. ]
You can message him or Blue if you wanted to ask to meet up or whatever.
no subject
[ But at least she knows who he is and he knows Blue. That's kind of enough to reassure her. ]
Well, if he really is always there I'll set something up. Just gotta tell him you sent me, right?
no subject
[ Adam doesn't know which part she's actually prying about. ]
Mm... I'd rather you didn't. [ He pauses briefly. ]
Say Blue sent you.
no subject
[ He seemed like a young, nerdy Indiana Jones back at the Ingress. ]
Oh my god, I'm getting myself involved in some sort of drama, am I not?
[ Deep sigh. Eye roll. Then: ]
Fine, but only because I'm getting the vibe this is actually important.
no subject
I don't know. You'd have to ask him.
[ Adam shook his head ever so slightly. It wouldn't even be drama if she said his name but he just didn't want her to. ]
It's really important. [ He confirms. ]
no subject
[ She gets he's... taciturn. But she's starting to understand some of the subtle hints he gives now and then. ]
Okay, I'll do it. Not that I feel too good at just letting you fix my bike without giving anything back.
no subject
If that stuff actually works for what it's needed for then you're giving me something very important back.
[ Nevermind whatever other issues might still be there, he'd still stop the world to save Gansey and Ronan. ]
no subject
[ She moves closer to him and the motorcycle, eyes on the work he's doing. She did say she wanted to learn at least the basics of it. ]
You're pretty good at this.
no subject
Had to get good at fixing things pretty early.
no subject
Well, you're good. Maybe even good enough to eventually have your own business sort of deal.
no subject
Maybe. I'm not sure that's what I want. [ He used to know what he wanted -- to get out of Virginia. But a lot of things had changed his perspective even before he had come here. ]
no subject
[ She can't help but think that Adam is at least trying to find out what, though. ]
no subject
[ He doesn't mean anything by it really, just if this place has a way of making people lose direction. ]
no subject
[ Any conversation is better than awkward silence. ]
no subject
[ He knows exactly what that's like. He supposes he might be a little different that even in just trying to survive he'd always been working toward a goal. Now what was he?
There's a shrug, mostly to his own thoughts as he focuses more intently on the bike. ]
