back when we were kids [closed]
Who: adam parrish, blue sargent, richard gansey, ronan lynch
When: mid march
Where: st. monmouth
What: gangsey picnic
Warnings: none at the moment aside from potential trc spoilers, otherwise cw will be in subject lines
[ It's been a while since Gansey and Blue had joined them now. There's plenty of time spent with each other individually but very little altogether, that was mostly in passing except for the celebrations initially with the arrivals. It's not clear exactly whose idea it was to do this but they're out in one area of St. Monmouth, a circular field surrounded by trees. There's a huge blanket laid out, boxes of Nino's pizza and a cooler that Adam and Gansey had dragged out there full of sodas and of course alcohol for those inclined. There might have even been some yogurt in there as well in case Blue decided to be really lame and choose yogurt over pizza.
Adam's laying out half on the blanket they have spread out with his head on Ronan's thigh, hand plucking at blades of grass. No one's dug into the pizza or the cooler yet because Blue's been in the middle of telling another ridiculous story about an incredulous encounter with yet another farm animal. ]

No matter his current life status, he's grateful to be with them all.
Something catches his attention in what Blue says. He's laying on his side, elbow propping him up, also playing with blades of grass.]
Why are alpacas farm animals? I've never heard of anyone eating them before.

[Ronan's voice is absolutely dripping with sarcasm.]
Big fluffy sheep-like animals with soft fleece coats. I wonder what they could possibly be farmed for.
[Looks like he's going to be the first to attack the pizza, because he reaches over and drags a box closer, careful not to jostle Adam too much. He flips the lid back and picks up a slice, shoving it into his mouth for a bite that's probably too big.]

(Yes they absolutely all were.)
Today's had included Blue losing part of her sleeve in an attempt to pet an alpaca -- which she had also mistakenly called a llama. ]
When you go get all that soft fleece, get my sleeve back too.
[ On the blanket, Blue's contently sprawled out just enough that she's able to maintain some kind of physical contact with all of the boys (and take up more space than a person her size likely needs.); her fingers trailing idly along Gansey's arm as she spoke, one of her legs haphazardly draped across Adam's, and if she moved her foot the right way, she could knock the toe of her boot against the arch of Ronan's foot. ]

[ Adam asks nonchalantly and he had shifted to make it easier for Ronan to grab pizza, at least he thought so. as it was he tilted to the side to reach for a slice of his own before right back to using Ronan as a headrest and stuffing pizza into his mouth.
There had, of course, been the casualty of jostling Blue's leg but Adam doesn't care much about that. ]
Hand me a soda.
[ the cooler's closer to Gansey and Blue and Adam doesn't want to sit up proper anyway. ]

Tell me when you've ever seen an alpaca sweater in a store.
[Because Gansey certainly hasn't.]
Jane you should probably avoid some of the animals if you keep coming away with stories like this.

[Unless that sweater is stylishly distressed with big chunky holes in it. Ronan takes another bite of pizza before looking over to Blue.]
Which shirt was it? With the missing sleeve. I'll just make another one.

I don't want another one. [ She waves her spoon dismissively, her head shaking right along in time with it -- the sleeve of her shirt wasn't really that important. It was the principle of the matter! ... Or, something. ] I cut off the sleeves already, anyway.
[ She takes another bite of her yogurt, shrugging. Problem solved. ]

He murmurs a thanks to Gansey and opens the soda taking a sip before setting it in a safe area as he listens to the rest of them talking. He really has no idea how Blue keeps having all these exchanges with the animals.
He's starting to suspect she likes them and instigates them more often then not and they just go a bit awry on her. That wouldn't surprise him at all. ]
Does it still look good without sleeves, though?
