[Kurt's gotten used to visiting St. Monmouth on a semi-regular basis, considering how many friends he's made here. His initial introduction had been to Adam, followed soon after by Ronan and Matthew; it's not exactly a surprise for him to be there, but taking into account how exceedingly large the farm is, the blue boy knows he hasn't met everyone that lives here.
The kitchen had been his first stop because he's been in that area multiple times and knows where some places lead from there. He searches for a good fifteen minutes, comes back to the kitchen and briefly takes in the silence of the building. Odd for sure, though this isn't the only place he has to explore.
With a shrug of his shoulders, he starts back outside and as he begins to head off, the faint sound of shifting water catches his attention. Kurt blinks, pivots on the ball of his foot and is moving toward the noise before he can stop himself, curiosity piqued and completely in control now. From his last visit, he knows that there are pools and other sources of water, some of which are outside. Maybe someone was swimming?
There's not a chance he's expecting the sight of Jesse lapping the pool at a speed that is in no way human-like at all. He stares at the man(?) that surfaces from the water, mouth agape and his own inhuman eyes widened in bewilderment. Never in his life has he seen someone like this - mutant or otherwise and he suddenly has a million questions: Are his hands webbed? Why are his eyes purple of all colors? Does he have ... gills? Except, his mouth has gone as dry as the Sahara; what an insanely fantastic mutation to witness!
The plastic container of cookies in his hands drops to the cement and even that's not enough to draw him out of his stupor.
