[ Angela won't let it come to that; not ever. Her understanding of the accelerator itself is enough for some minor maintenance work, if ever the need arise, but the rest is pie. Even if it resulted in surgery (and it very well may, here, once she gets a better look), she'd be able to manage and get Lena healed right back up; her teasing should more than convey her lack of worry in the matter. ]

Oh no, I'm afraid it's too late. It's already been eaten through; we'll ensure a proper funeral is arranged.

[ Said with the utmost levity, properly mournful— she's glad it's keeping Lena's spirits up and drawing her into the act as well. Even if she isn't entirely convinced, fake it 'til you make it, right? ]

I absolutely must. My professional recommendation.

[ Angela sets about separating the pieces from where they've nearly melted in with the harness, steady and sure with bandage scissors until she has to work at the edges with a scalpel, never once nicking the other woman's skin as she slowly works away and reveals more and more of it, layers of clothing coming off in odd-shaped pieces and piled neatly to one side.

In the meantime, smalltalk. ]

Did you run into anyone else on the way here, dear? If not, I'm more than happy to inform you that we're far from alone.

[ Though she does wonder exactly how many she should mention and who she should allow to re-introduce themselves— lookin' at you, Ana and Gabriel. ]
