Kurt notices the gesture right away and gazes toward the container in his pocket. He bites his lower lip in thought, ponders handing the canteen over to Peter then shakes his head. No, the whole reason he'd even approached the other mutant was to stop him from consuming the fluorescent liquid. What sense would it make for him to hand over more of it? Thankfully, Peter's observation pulls him back to the situation at hand, the edges of his lips quirking with amusement. "I suppose ist gut that I did not get much of a chance to actually build a friendship with you before I was taken away. We can try harder here." A pause, his features wilting with realization, "If you want to, I mean."
Because Peter did have a choice.
The latter comment and seeing Peter's features barely hint toward it are enough to make him fall silent for the moment. He loosens his arms and slides his hands up his front, cupping them around his cheeks in distress. "They did?"
He tries his best to fight back the quiet growl thrumming in his chest (which, to be honest, sounds more like an angry purr than anything), but to no avail; Kurt isn't exactly menacing in his normal form, so there's no way he's even remotely intimidating like this. "And I will look forward to saying the same."
