In most instances, Peter would feel a little bad about making someone- especially a child- get flustered. He likes to bug people, certainly, but he tries not to be an ass. For a moment, Peter looks like he's going to say something. Apologize maybe. Tell Kurt that it's not that big of a deal.

Then he hears that he's connected to Charles.

"Xavier told you." He tries to sit up, eyes narrowed. He's been on the ship long enough that blue skin didn't register automatically as mutant anymore, but maybe he needs to rethink that. "How do you know Charles? Dude. are you one of us?"
