The kitten stands its ground as Bel nods and turns, only the continued twitches of his tail betraying his wariness. That went... easier than expected. If it was really over. And if the user wasn't planning to go tell others about his current state.

Not that Rinzler would mind having an excuse to test that weaponry.

Still, there's not much to be done about potential future threats now, and Rinzler has his own challenge to work on: getting back to the ship without letting the user think he was following. The headstart might help. A different route would be even better, and the program glances around for an appropriate vantage for pathfinding before spotting a tall tree.

He dashes closer, leaps up, claws digging in to the soft-scaled bark to propel himself further up. It takes surprisingly little friction to maneuver when you weigh less than a pound. Score one point for this form. Rinzler clings to the side, small head craning for the top... when he hears a sharp choking noise from around the corner.

The same way the user went.

Rinzler peers in that direction curiously. There's not much to make out between the tufted mass of branches, but one of the longer extensions goes in that direction. The kitten stalks out along the narrow branch, one foot in front of another as he looks for a good view.
