Unfortunately for Tarn, his panic and grief just fed into Soundwave's. The pain of losing Ravage had shattered his focus - he couldn't keep from picking up what Tarn was feeling on top of everything else. He wanted the source of those feelings gone. He didn't care about anything past that.
"You -" Soundwave moved back more, standing next to the fusion cannon, "If you killed Ravage for wanting a change... You would do the same to me, or anyone else."
Tarn didn't care. He was just like Megatron, as he had been trained to be. No matter how much he tried, he was expendable to someone like that.
His joints protested, but he lifted the fusion canon, leveling it at Tarn. As long as he shot him through the airlock, any damage to the ship would be minimal. And if Tarn somehow managed to survive being shot, well... he would likely be blasted far enough away from the ship that medical attention wouldn't arrive in time.
