Not used to being treated like a piece of meat, actually.

[Or so to speak – it's not exactly the flesh and bone parts of him that people, insectoid or otherwise, tend to care about. And when they do, it's always been with an ulterior motive in mind, hasn't it? Medical marvel this, key to unlocking human evolution that, yadda yadda yadda. Putting it like that, maybe an overenthusiastic bug person isn't that big a deal by comparison.

Can't really argue that his kit doesn't need some attention either, he thinks, turning his attention momentarily downward. He rubs a finger against one of the numerous scrapes and pits marring the normally smooth shell of one forearm, polycarbonate mesh against lightweight metal alloy. These scars show up light, just like real, human skin. Funny that.

Adam looks back around, letting his arms drop to his sides.]

Could've handled that, just so we're clear. [A pause, and then a light shrug.] But you probably handled it better.

[There's that old Jensen dryness in his tone, and maybe even a ghost of a smile; he knows his shortcomings and isn't afraid to admit to them.]
