When the weirdness starts, Carol mentally shrugs and is more careful about making sure she carries her supplies everywhere. Straight from home this would have sent her into a spin, but Teleios got her more used to this sort of thing, and as weirdness goes this is pretty tame, so long as she doesn't end up floating out in space or something. What's driving her a lot more crazy than random doorway teleporting is feeling off kilter and in need of something familiar, and since they're on a damn spaceship the most familiar thing she can think of to do is cook. So after her shift in the laundry she ventures into the galley sometime before a meal rush, hoping she can be of help. Or bake a pie in the corner. Or just do something, anything, that makes some damn sense.
If anyone looks her way right off, she smiles somewhat nervously (the nerves not entirely fake, nor entirely honest). "I know I don't work here, but I thought maybe the staff could use an extra set of hands." Honestly, she'll do anything as long as it's not folding. If no one appears to care that she's there, maybe she'll poke her head into some doors, see what's around. Some extra scraps no one is using for meals that she can turn into some cookies or muffins, maybe. ***
[Shades of Age - Season 2, seeking her lost little girl; anywhere on board that's not restricted]
When Carol suddenly found herself in this strange place, she really thought she'd gone and lost her mind in a fit of grief. Or maybe she's dreaming. Doesn't matter, because whether on Hershel's farm or not, she has one goal: finding her lost twelve year old daughter. She can't and won't stop to think that maybe since she's here without Rick and Lori and Shane and the others than maybe Sophia isn't either; there's also the possibility that they are somewhere in this metal maze and so maybe Sophia is, too. Maybe she's alive and okay and waiting for her Mommy. She has to try.
Despite not having taken much of an active role in the search for her little girl back home -- because of the dangers, things she wasn't equipped to handle -- being alone (as near as she can tell) gives Carol no alternative but to do it herself, and having no apparent walkers (thank God!) makes the decision all the simpler. She runs around the ship, in and out of everywhere that's not locked up without a care for where she's supposed to be or not -- though, she is a bit timid, being that this place is so strange.
"Excuse me," she says, out of breath, hurrying up to whoever she finds, so long as they look like a "normal" human. "I lost my daughter, and I don't know where I am." There's a rush of questions implicit in her statement, but she doesn't know where to begin. If she runs into a non-human or someone who looks different than standard Earthlings, well, she'll probably duck into a corner and try to huddle and hide. Not tactful, but she's too afraid to be embarrassed.
((OOC: icon not indicative of mood, it's just the only one I have with her supershort S2 hair.. will try and upload more!))
