Who: Niko Bellic | Lando Calrissian
When: After this thread.
Where: Around the ship, starting in the cargo bay.
What: Showing Lando around.
Warnings: Slimeballs in space.
Niko managed to get some boxes moved in the meantime. As he went he actually waved bye to the giant robots, whether they noticed or not. He liked his big stompy coworkers.
He was leaning against the door when Lando got there, looking at his MID idly.

He spots Niko leaning there as he nears the doors, approaching with a bright smile. Naturally, he's been keeping up a friendly and warm air as he makes his way through the ship and crew, always presenting himself in the best light he possibly can. Can't control what people think of you, but you can at least control what you give them to work with.
"Niko Bellic?" He extends a hand as he comes to a stop, "Lando Calrissian."

He clapped his own hand into Lando's and gave it a firm shape, and like a true prick he nodded behind him. "And that's the cargo bay. It's where we keep cargo." For all that Niko was friendly, he was also an asshole.
"Okay, so. We got the Mess Hall, Rec Room, observation, training simulator, and library. And Med Bay, if you are unlucky. Where do you want to check out?"

"Well, I did see a few of those already... Med Bay, observation, the mess hall..." And then he pauses, arching his brows with a slight tilt of his head, "Training simulator, huh? What does it train?"

He motioned loosely for Lando to follow him. He'd barely spent any time in there, but he thought he could use it. Sometimes the best thing for him to do when he was tense was to drive around, just unwind that way.
Run a couple of mailboxes over.
You know. The little things.
"What job did they give you?"

Even if it's broken, the capabilities of something like the Ingress are impressive. To think what something like that must have cost... he may not have nearly the understanding of this galaxy's overall economy that he'd like, supply and demand are simply part of the natural order. At least, to him.
He takes a soft breath after the question, shrugging slightly, "Transporter technician. I've always been more for piloting than repairing, myself, but I suppose I'll manage well enough."

Well, she would be. But she was in cryo. Which he'd been trying not to think about. And Niko, able to fly and drive a lot of craft. But he was stuck on Cargo Bay duty.
He made quick work of getting to the lift. Though he did have to stupidly try to remember what floor the training sim room was on because he so rarely went to it.

"A girlfriend that provides a solid diversification of skillsets?" That doesn't sound quite romantic, but there is a certain warm humor to the way he says it, punctuating it with a soft chuckle, "Sounds as if you two must make quite the pair."

And he hoped she would come out alright.
"She's also purple and really friendly. So you know, if you see her around? She's okay to talk to about ship stuff."
no subject
He doesn't intend to press the issue too hard, but hey, he would be remiss in his social duties to not respond appropriately there.
Of course, he has no reaction for the statement that she's purple. It's not as if that's unheard of in his experience.

When they get off on the right floor, he heads over to the room.
"I have only been here a few times. Being in cargo bay, I don't get a lot of work anymore. So this is about the only way that I can stay in practice."
no subject
"Must help with the restlessness... I can't say I've ever enjoyed extended periods being stuck aboard a ship." And, given the room's multipurpose nature, he turns his gaze on Niko curiously, "So what is it that you stay in practice with?"
