Warnings: all 3 of them are awful who knows what they'll get up to [nothing atm]



[Things may have just gotten ten thousand times more overwhelming, but at least they have stipends and access to fresh, hot food, the former of which Anders is going to spend on the latter, if only for his friends' sakes.

He coaxes Hawke and Varric to some generic sort of diner with the promise of footing the bill. It's no table at the Hanged Man, but it's a relaxed enough setting for them to enjoy one anothers' company without worrying about getting ripped apart by cave monsters or starving on a big rock in space. And maybe talk about that dreaded living situation, which is far more likely to end in someone's death, really.]

Have either of you had a chance to look over the housing options or job openings?

[Leveraging his need to check in on Anders with his ambivalence toward Kauto in general proved to be a difficult battle for Varric. While he was used to stumbling about at chest level, easily missed by the taller folk, there was something about the massive technology and buildings that had him feeling particularly small.]

[The only thing keeping him reassured was Hawke beside him. She might have laughed at him if he actually did wind up getting stepped on, but at least he could count on her to keep him from getting killed.]

[Nevertheless, he was still eager to get into the diner, and relied rather heavily on Hawke to point out the blond man. He ambled over and seated himself quickly, and certainly didn't take long to charm a waitress into bringing him the best ale they had.]

I've barely had enough time to get over just how large this place is. [Still, despite his grouchy tone, he was already beginning to relax. It felt right to have this bunch back together.]

[Oh booze. Hawke is easy to please and less concerned about these things than Varric. Perhaps because she'd been on this wild ride so long.

She gives a shrug of thing shoulders after taking a long drink.]

It is... big.

[As expected, their relaxed attitudes only serve to make him more antsy. Part of him wants to put off this conversation a few more minutes, but that would probably only make it worse when it finally came around. His own fingers worry at the condensation on his glass of water.]

I was looking at Chioni. There's far more danger posed to Savrii in the outer burgs, and they're fairly inaccessible. It's two days' time to the farthest. I've been... considering they could use a healer on call.
