The discomfort doesn't go unnoticed. Toriel's brows knit together as she makes a note not to push at the teenager too hard. She has her smile rising back to the surface at least somewhat when Kyoko speaks again.

"I'm glad to hear that, I must say. I had been hoping people had been kind." She brushes her hands gently on the table top. "I certainly wouldn't consider it odd, we're all together until this journey ends. Being kind can never hurt, even without these circumstances."
